Use free Microsoft software to organise USB memory sticks

From time to time Microsoft releases free programs that add interesting or useful features to Windows XP and the USB Flash Drive Manager is one of them.

It's not really a backup program in the conventional sense because it doesn't include features like timed regular backups or incremental backups (where only the information that's been changed is backed up) but it is a good way to manage the contents of different USB memory keys and keep track of files and folders as they get moved between different computers.

It's also an excellent way to keep personal information like addresses and bookmarks with you or to move favourite music tracks around on a single USB disk. And since the program is completely free it’s worth investigating.
